Custom Jewelry by Our In-House Goldsmiths
Bring your ideas to life with custom jewelry created by our two in-house goldsmiths. From redesigning a meaningful piece to crafting something entirely new, our team will guide you through each step to create a design that is uniquely yours.
Begin Your Custom Design
Tell us what you have in mind or bring your jewelry into Greenleaf’s Jewelry for a complimentary consultation. Our team will help you take the first step toward creating a piece that is uniquely yours.
Your Ideas, Thoughtfully Developed
Custom jewelry begins with a conversation. You will work with our jewelry team to discuss what you have in mind, explore what is possible and develop a plan for your piece.
We can begin with a new idea, a loose gemstone, an existing piece of jewelry or several sentimental pieces you would like to combine. Through ongoing conversations, drawings, renderings and carefully selected components, we will continue refining the design until you are comfortable with the final direction.
New Designs and Heirloom Redesigns
Our custom services may include:
• Creating a new piece around a gemstone or design idea
• Redesigning inherited or sentimental jewelry
• Resetting gemstones into a style you will enjoy wearing
• Combining elements from multiple pieces
• Updating an existing piece to better suit your taste
• Developing custom engagement, wedding or commemorative jewelry
Every project begins with an evaluation of the materials, design and work involved. Because each piece is different, our team will explain what is possible and help find an approach that fits your goals and budget.
How the Custom Design Process Works
1. Complimentary Consultation
Meet with our jewelry team to share your ideas, inspiration and budget. If you are bringing in existing jewelry or gemstones, we will examine them and discuss how they may be incorporated.
2. Develop the Design
We will establish a plan and begin finding the right gemstones, settings and components. Drawings, renderings and additional conversations may be used to refine the design until you are happy with the direction.
3. Approve Your Custom Order
Your consultation and the initial design-planning process are complimentary. Once you approve the design, a nonrefundable deposit equal to 50% of the purchase price is required. Physical work on the piece will not begin until the deposit has been paid.
4. In-House Goldsmithing
After approval and payment of the deposit, our in-house goldsmiths begin the physical work required to bring the design together.
5. Final Review
Once the piece is complete, it will be inspected and prepared for you. The remaining balance is due when the finished piece is ready.
Made to Be Meaningful
Custom jewelry does not have to begin with a fully formed design. Bring us a photograph, a loose gemstone, an inherited piece or simply an idea. We will help you understand the possibilities and develop something that feels right for you.
